AI & Data Science

Dive into AI, data science and ML core concepts with hands-on learning and capstone projects. Requires prior Python experience.

Students will learn the foundations of data science and artificial intelligence through hands-on Python programming in this intensive 3-week program. Students will collect, clean, and explore real-world datasets; build clear visualizations; and communicate insights using industry tools such as Pandas and Seaborn. Throughout the program, students will be introduced to diverse case studies spanning public health and disease trends, climate and air-quality monitoring, sports performance analytics, music/streaming recommendation data, and misinformation patterns in online communities.

Students will also train and evaluate core machine-learning models—including linear regression, decision trees, and random forests—to make predictions and interpret results responsibly. The program culminates in a social-impact capstone aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, where students use data to observe and understand local and global challenges, practice evidence-based reasoning, and take a first step toward becoming socially aware citizens.
